This is Week 30 of our 52 weeks of Sharing Memories - A Genealogy Journey Journal. I hope you'll join us with your memories! Write them down - you don't have to share them. Your memories can be private - write them in a journal at home, or they can be shared publicly here on OliveTreeGenealogy Blog or on your own Blog.
This week's topic is Weddings. I couldn't post yesterday as I couldn't connect to the Internet all afternoon. So here we go for today.
Do you know when your parents or grandparents were married? What city or town? Do you have photographs? Who was in the wedding party? Where did they go for their honeymoon (if they had one). Write about this and make sure you write about your wedding(s) too if you had any!
I'm very lucky to have a photograph of my great-grandparents on their wedding day in Ramsgate England in 1882.
I also have a photo of my grandparents on their wedding day in Toronto Ontario in 1914. My grandmother was married three times and I'm lucky enough to have photos of each of her weddings.
And to top it off, i am so lucky as I have another photo of my parents on their wedding day. Theirs was a double wedding with my mother's sister marrying her husband the same day and time.
I love the formality of wedding photographs!
