After all, if the addresses to each image of the collection is exactly the same and if they have kept the links we created and just "rerouted" them to an error page, everything may be back online in a few days (cross fingers)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8641680.post-34049648437304232009-09-14T12:57:05.838-04:002009-09-14T12:57:05.838-04:00Just today I found my family tree was missing all ...Just today I found my family tree was missing all of the Drouin records I had saved...disheartening indeed! I had over 300 Drouin records saved to my tree but only saved maybe 20 to my hard drive....the very important ones that verify my generations. Now I wish I would have saved them all but, who knew something like this would happen? The bulk of my research has to do with the Drouin collection Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8641680.post-5468932045288699712009-09-11T21:59:52.244-04:002009-09-11T21:59:52.244-04:00You can access the actual text of Tanguay's Di...You can access the actual text of Tanguay's Dictionnaire Genealogique for free on Canadian Archives at this link - look under "auteurs" for authors, then Tanguay, Cyprian. http://bibnum2.banq.qc.ca/bna/numtextes/accueil.htm
PeggyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8641680.post-67193595353739774252009-09-05T18:14:18.182-04:002009-09-05T18:14:18.182-04:00Fortunately for me, Ihad found most of the ones I ...Fortunately for me, Ihad found most of the ones I wanted on Drouin. However, I just now decided to give the BNS2000 a try using one record that I know was there and that I had downoaded off of Ancestry. Nadda. I entered the info they asked for and nothing was available.Dawnnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8641680.post-71943597918334494382009-09-03T10:50:05.207-04:002009-09-03T10:50:05.207-04:00Dear Anonymous. I understand how frustrated and disheartened you (and others) must feel at having spent hours (days, weeks, months) researching the Drouin records only to find all your work in vain.

HOWEVER - it is important to understand that Ancestry was ordered by a judge to remove the Drouin database.
