Tonight's the night! Who Do You Think You Are re-runs are over and tonight's episode is brand new. Ancestry.com has once again partnered with NBC in Season 2 of Who Do You Think You Are?
Gwyneth Paltrow is featured tonight in Episode 7. Tune in at 8 p.m. tonight, Friday April 1st to see what exciting ancestors Gwyneth discovers as she journeys to Barbadoes in search of her ancestry.
Season 2 consists of 8 episodes featuring Gwyneth Paltrow, Tim McGraw, Rosie O'Donnell, Steve Buscemi, Kim Cattrall, Lionel Richie, Vanessa Williams and Ashley Judd in their search for ancestors.
I enjoy the show but the producers should start including "non-famous" people too. Using only the rich and famous, this is just a way to give perks to people who already have too much! Everyone profiled to date, could afford to pay someone to do this for them - the average person cannot. I hope they will consider adding average citizens to the program - in the same way that History Detectives does.
ReplyDeleteAnything which encourages people to understand and pursue information about their heritage is desirable. It would be incredibly interesting if there could be less emphasis on so-called "celebrities" on shows of this sort. Ordinary people have lives also and genealogy is a hobby for many families and programs of this ilk encourage us to understand our historic roots.
ReplyDeleteshe says on this episode that she " wouldn't let her TWO daughters take a ship to America on their own" as far as I know she has one daughter (Apple) and one son (Moses) is there a 3rd child that is a daughter I can find no record of it and wonder if I missed something?
