"The AncestryDNA test is not yet available for purchase outside of the United States. "

Correct. They will not ship it outside of the USA.

But if you are visiting the USA on a trip, you can order the DNA kit sent there, and pick it up when you go. Then you mail it BACK from Canada (or wherever you live) with no problem.

That is how I got my test and one for my son. I live in Canada but my son was in N. Carolina on a course and I had the kits sent to him.

Easy!

It's also possible to have your order shipped to one of the re-shipping companies that allow you to ship the kit to a US address and they will forward it to whatever next location you'd like. My forwarding cost was less than ten dollars.

Why not get a kit from FamilyTree.com?
They ship all over the world. No problem.
They only do DNA. I have done both and prefer
FamilyTreeDNA.com

Anon - the ideal is to purchase kits from as many companies as possible. I have my DNA done at FamilyTree DNA, Ancestry.com and 23andMe

That gives me more options for understanding my DNA and more opportunites to connect with others.

Anon - can you give me some details on how you arrange the re-shipping you mentioned? You can write to me privately if you prefer at

I am very interested in doing this!
