In keeping with Memorial Day weekend in the United States, here is a link to an interesting story with photos. A Viscount in the Armoured Cavalry Branch of the French Army left a
collection of hundreds of glass plates taken during World War One that have
never been published before. The images show
the daily life of soldiers in the trenches, destruction of towns and
military leaders.

We don't have Memorial Day in Canada but here are photos of some of my military ancestors. I thank them all for their sacrifices.
